Richard Byworth said that business meetings with market participants in Hong Kong gave him confidence that units of spot BTC-ETFs will be included in the Stock Connect system. The system allows qualified investors from mainland China to access and trade securities from Hong Kong on the market:

“I returned from Hong Kong. Exchange-traded funds can be added to Stock Connect and investors in mainland China can buy them. The consequences of this will be enormous."

The managing partner of SyzCapital believes that investors from China need additional investment tools, since Chinese real estate is showing a decline and is not suitable for increasing savings. The businessman is convinced that institutional and retail investors will definitely take advantage of the opportunity to invest in spot Bitcoin ETFs

Earlier, Bloomberg analyst Jack Wang said that investors in mainland China will not be able to purchase Bitcoin ETF units in Hong Kong, since the Chinese government banned any transactions with cryptocurrencies many years ago.
