Gladiator players, get ready for an epic upgrade that will take our Web3 gaming experience to new heights! Inspired by our players’ valuable feedback, Gladiator 1.6.0 brings disruptive improvements.

Fighters, get ready for the upcoming wrestling mania!

MMR Leaderboard Match Reset

At 10am PDT on April 26th / 1am BST on April 27th, the MMR leaderboard will reset and the latest PvP showdown will begin. The competition will end at 5pm PDT on June 7th / 8am BST on June 8th, and the top 25 players will share a huge prize pool of 1 million $BRWL. To increase participation, players must play at least one game in Room 2 every day (00:00-23:59 UTC / 8:00-7:59 BST), otherwise they will face a 25-point deduction determined by the community vote. Remember, turtling is risky!

New upgrade for player experience

  • Valid Equipment Requirements: Choose an in-game name for your valid equipment. Generic or blank names are a thing of the past. Without a valid name, you cannot participate in the game.

  • Disable the combat window to improve playability.

  • Increased queue time: The queue time for Room 2 has been increased from 90 seconds to 10 minutes.

  • Resolution adjustment: Select "High", "Medium" or "Low" resolution to run the game according to the performance of your device. The clarity of the graphics in the game, especially the clarity of the cards, is higher.

  • Matchmaking servers have been relocated from Central Europe to US East to improve global connection speeds and reduce match interruptions.

  • Ping Indicator: Color-coded for good/fair/poor connection status. Keep in the green or yellow range for optimal performance.

  • Beamable upgrade: backend service upgrade, better stability, and better microservices.

Aesthetic upgrade

  • Dark Mode: The Gladiator's Arena gets a moody visual update.

  • New Startup Screen: The realistic Gladiator Bay landscape takes center stage.

  • 2nd Anniversary Card Front and Back: Purchase for 1 $BRWL in the play.brawlers.gg store to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Brawlers.

Game design upgrade

  • Power Meter Adjustment: After each game loss, the Power Meter value will be halved (numbers will be rounded up) instead of reset to 1, greatly increasing damage potential.

  • Increased Starting Health: Players' starting health has been increased to 35 points to compensate for the changes to the Power Meter, encouraging more duels!

  • True to the Origin: This change is in keeping with Richard Garfield's original design intent regarding the consequences of failure.

  • While we believe the above changes will make it more difficult to successfully FLEX (since more hands will be called), we have made the chances of a successful FLEX similar to before by reducing the number of starting cards from 3 to 2. We think this will give players more strategic options at the start of the game, which can make the start of the game more interesting.

Reward upgrade

  • Taco Swap Liquidity Pool Expansion: Stake WAXP and BRWL to share 500 WAXP daily rewards until all rewards are shared (45,000 WAXP in total).

  • Brawl 4 All Tournaments: Brawl 4 All Tournaments are held every week, with at least 12 legal players participating in each tournament. The top 25% of players can win BRWL rewards.

Coming soon: improved queueing, anniversary banners, game HUD avatars and frames, and our continued pursuit of mobile solutions. Exciting times are coming, including the possibility of a new competitor joining the Fighters Metaverse!
