Elon Musk's stunning prediction regarding artificial intelligence
Answering the question of where humanity currently stands in the field of AI, Musk, warning that this question would require a long answer, said that artificial intelligence is the fastest growing technology he has ever seen, and in his lifetime he has see a lot of new technologies.
According to him, almost every week there is a new major announcement related to artificial intelligence. Reminding the audience that new artificial intelligence hardware appears around the world every six to nine months, Musk said he predicts artificial intelligence will become smarter than humans by around the end of next year.
Grok 2.0 will surpass ChatGPT-4, says Musk
Elon Musk also spoke in detail about his Grok AI product. The tech mogul said that training is currently underway for a new iteration of this chatbot - Grok 2.0. Once training is completed (estimated to be in May), the new Grok model "should be better" than OpenAI's competing ChatGPT-4 product.
Over the weekend, news broke that using Grok, implemented in App X, is already 60% cheaper than a monthly subscription to ChatGPT. The first option costs nothing and is included with an $8 monthly X Premium subscription. ChatGPT-4 now costs $20 per month.
Musk helped found the company in 2015 with heavy financial support, but later disagreed with management over the company's future strategy. Founded as a non-profit AI research lab, OpenAI eventually decided to become a full-fledged commercial entity through a strategic partnership with Microsoft.
Stephen King on artificial intelligence
As previously reported, famous writer Stephen King tweeted that he is not worried about artificial intelligence because his “mascot” works.
"King of Horror" didn't specify what he meant. Last year, the horror legend revealed that the AI was trained on his books.
