A growing chorus of financial institutions, e-commerce giants and even countries are hailing the Bitcoin Lightning Network. It represents an innovative solution to Bitcoin's scalability problem.

In particular, the network is capable of handling millions of transactions per second. This makes it a superior alternative to traditional systems such as #VISA that maxes out at 20,000 #transactions per second.
