(Tehran) The Israeli military said on Sunday (April 14) that Iran launched more than 300 missiles and drones at Israel in the early morning. Israel, with the help of its allies, thwarted the attack and shot down most of the weapons. This is the first time that Iran has launched a direct military attack on Israeli territory from its homeland.
Iran said that the retaliation has ended, but if Israel "makes another mistake", Iran will respond more severely. Iran also warned the United States not to intervene, otherwise the US military base will become a target of attack.
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Saturday night (13th) that it had launched dozens of missiles and drones at targets in Israel. Iran's permanent mission to the United Nations said that this military action was a response to Israel's earlier attack on Iran's diplomatic facilities in Damascus, and Iran was conducting legitimate defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Bagheri announced on Sunday that Iran had ended the retaliation and achieved all its goals, but he warned: "If Israel retaliates against Iran, we will respond more severely than tonight's military action."
He also warned the United States not to provide any support for Israel's possible counterattack, otherwise the US military base will become unsafe.
