A look back at the web3 video game “My neighbor Alice”

I explain to you how to play the game for free, give you my opinion on the qualities and defects of this new kind of web3 video game. #GameFi

My neighbor Alice is a web3, decentralized game, with rewards in the form of NFTs.

via a maketplace, it allows the purchase and sale of land, animals and various objects linked to the game to customize your character or your land.

The game itself is an open world, 3D, cooperative MMO, with a fairly nice clean cartoon style.

To access it for free, access the “Chromia launcher” $CHR via the official website: myneighboralice.com.

Once the game is installed, connect a wallet, from the site page (metamask, wallet connect or Venly)

no fees to pay to play or trade NFTs (chromia wants this to be a standard to attract many players, so blockchain fees are the responsibility of the host.)

On the site, you collect a free NFT representing a piece of land (indicated as: free trial), once this is done, the game can be launched via Chromia launcher.

You then inherit land, you will learn to fish, craft tools, collect resources, grow vegetables. Buy or sell resources is possible in Gold currency (virtual) or with $ALICE .

In terms of style, I would say that it is a mix between "animal crossing" and "minecraft" in a childish environment, without violence, community and quite relaxing.

Alice is a nicely created game, the drawings are superb, the 3D average, cool music, the target is clearly female which is not necessarily good, if we consider that the majority of potential customers (majority crypto users) are men from - 30 years (statistics). But there is something for all tastes and the Chromia games catalog is enriched with heterogeneous games.

Tokenomics is good, but for the game to thrive, the community aspect is important and events must be regular.
