## What is on-chain data?
To put it simply, if I use my wallet A to transfer money to your wallet B, it will be recorded on the blockchain and made public.
The data on the blockchain is the data on the chain. On-chain data contains the following elements:
1. Sending and receiving addresses
2. Transaction details such as transfer currency, transaction amount, transaction fees, etc.
3. Interaction between wallet address and contract
What makes on-chain data attractive is that the detailed transaction information and data of traditional stock analysis, futures trading, etc. are only owned by centralized stock exchanges. The stock exchanges will publish the data as appropriate, but the on-chain data of the blockchain are transparent and cannot be tampered with.
## What will be available from the data on the chain?
- **Coin holding costs and changes for long-term and short-term holders**
Divide wallet addresses into long-term holders (LTH / long term holder) and short-term holders (STH / short term holder), and analyze the current market conditions based on wallet classification and trends.
- **Know the trends of whales (large investors)**
If in the world of traditional finance, you want to know what stocks Warren Buffett bought, you can only use his open letters or regularly released delayed earnings reports, but in the world of cryptocurrency, you can track any address. When the address Any transaction activity can be easily tracked on the chain!
- **Analyze project holder attributes**
Everyone has a different trading style. Through on-chain data, they can be quickly labeled and classified, such as: Bitcoin majors, long-term Bitcoin holders, short-term trading styles, NFT traders, DeFi traders, scammers Project traders etc.
- **Forecasting future trends and tracking indicators for long-term investment**
If you can know the average cost of large accounts, see the rapid transfer of current currency from wallets to exchanges, the relationship between unrealized profits and losses and costs, and other indicators, plus different wallet classifications, through statistics, economic models, and transaction Experience, through historical data and backtesting of major events, we will have the opportunity to accurately predict future trends.
Common on-chain data indicators include: MVRV, SOPR, unrealized profit and loss ratio, realized profit and loss ratio, etc. After some combination and statistical analysis, these indicators will provide investors with more accurate investment advice!
Wait, wait, there are many, many, many more. We will select some that are representative and have greater practical significance for analysis.
## How to learn on-chain data
There can be countless combinations of analysis of data on the chain. I will first choose a main line and tell you the solution I personally use.
The main line is nothing more than what I use as a reference to buy and sell.
Finally, I will tell you how to further study on your own outside of the course and what learning tools you can explore.
There are many indicators that use glassnode, a powerful tool, but unfortunately it requires payment. For most friends, T2 level is enough and the price is cheap. It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to pay. You can ask me or my assistant to take screenshots for you at any time. After all, the only indicators we really use in the end are those important ones.
There shouldn’t be much to say about signing up, using Google Mail is very smooth. There is a 15-day trial period after registration, which can be used to combine course experience.
If I have further learning and expansion, I will continue to update the course.
There is a lot of very hard-core underlying code engineering knowledge involved in on-chain data, so I won’t go into that. I’ll try to only talk about things that can directly assist transactions. #WIF #sui #APT
