FTX crypto exchange founder Sam Bankman-Fried sentenced to 25 years in prison
US District Judge Lewis Kaplan sentenced the founder and former head of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX Sam Bankman-Fried to 25 years in prison for misappropriation of client funds, writes CNBC.
A jury in November 2023 found him guilty of seven counts, including wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
