#Near will allow you to sign transactions on third-party blockchains

Near has launched the Chain Signatures protocol, which will allow transactions on third-party blockchains to be signed from a single account on the Near network.

Chain Signatures is running on a test network. The mainnet launch is expected in early May.

The protocol has a built-in Multichain Gas Relayer, which eliminates the need to hold a specific network gas token. Instead, users can simply use Near or NEP-141 tokens to pay for gas on any blockchain.

Chain Signatures runs on MPC and is protected by network validators.

Additional security from EigenLayer will also be introduced at a later date.

Chain Signatures currently supports the Ethereum, Cosmos, Dogecoin, Bitcoin and XRP Ledger networks. Solana, TON Network, Polkadot and others will also be added soon.
