Where has BNB gone?

Someone recently asked why there are only more than 16.6 million BNB mined by new coins when the total number of BNB is 200 million? Where did the other BNB go?

BNB has been fully circulated, and there are only more than 16 million in mining, which is indeed relatively small. I'll take a guess, but I'm not sure it's correct!

1. After 26 quarterly burns, there are now 149.54 million BNB left in actual circulation.

2. The team initially allocated 40% of the total amount, 80 million. The latter part will not flow to the market, but will only be used for destruction. If all the team’s tokens are destroyed from the eighth destruction onwards, approximately 39 million tokens will be destroyed, and 39 million tokens will be destroyed. There are 41 million left.

3. Node staking. After checking, approximately 22 million nodes have been locked up.

4. The reserves of other exchanges listed on BNB, plus the amount of LP and lending platforms on the chain, everyone is mining, and it is estimated that there are no more than 1 million.

5. Market makers, estimated to be several million in total.

After deducting these, there are still 60-70 million that have no place to find them.

Other possibilities: Users lost some of their money for various reasons; projects that were listed in the early stage pledged some BNB on Binance and did not circulate; many projects invested by Binance externally gave BNB, which has not yet entered the market; Binance risks The margin accounts for part of it; most likely, it was not sold out during the ICO, and part of it is still in the hands of Binance.
