Court documents show that U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan of the Southern District of New York has approved strict surveillance of the cell phones of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s parents.
According to the court order, SBF’s parents, Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, will have their phones installed with monitoring software that will closely monitor their internet browsing, apps and messages to prevent SBF from using his parents’ phones to circumvent his bail conditions. A technical consultant will review keystroke logs and screenshots at least three times a week to ensure “no unauthorized activity is occurring” on SBF’s parents’ phones.
According to previous reports, SBF's legal team asked the judge to extend the execution of SBF's new bail conditions to April 21, 2023, and Judge Lewis Kaplan approved the request. (Planet Daily)
