ChainCatcher news, Reuters reported, citing sources, that Founders Fund, the venture capital arm of PayPal founder Peter Thiel, has once again invested in Bitcoin and Ethereum, indicating Silicon Valley's renewed interest in the cryptocurrency market.
The source said that from late last summer to early fall, the fund invested $200 million in cryptocurrencies, half in Bitcoin and half in Ethereum.
The fund began buying Bitcoin last summer when the price was below $30,000, and purchased more Bitcoin and Ethereum over several months at an undisclosed average transaction price, the sources added.
