Brad Garlinghouse: “Ripple is considering an IPO outside the US”

Brad Garlinghouse said that at the moment an IPO is not a priority for Ripple. He clarified that the company may return to considering the possibility of a public offering of shares after the completion of the trial with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

At the same time, Ripple will reconsider the possibility of listing in the United States in favor of another jurisdiction due to the strict and counterproductive position of regulators towards cryptocurrency market participants. In particular, Garlinghouse sharply criticized the actions of Gary Gensler as chairman of the SEC, calling him “a political liability for the crypto industry.”

Comparing the European Union's regulatory framework with that of the United States, Garlinghouse expressed concern that the United States lags behind in developing comprehensive regulations for the digital asset market, and that the crypto industry's problems are driven more by politics than by economics or consumer protection.
