VanEck analysts predict Bitcoin will rise to $48,000 after halving

CoinGecko and OKLink estimate that there are only 100 days or approximately 14,500 blocks left until the next Bitcoin halving, during which the block reward for miners on the network will decrease from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC.

The countdown is based on the network's average block generation time of 10 minutes, giving us a potential date of April 22, 2024.

This process is programmed to happen automatically every 210,000 blocks, which is approximately every four years. After passing it, miners will receive 50% less reward in bitcoins for each block that they verify and add to the blockchain. However, they will continue to receive transaction processing fees.
