According to ChainCatcher, Web3 education platform Open Campus will launch a decentralized identity Open Campus ID on January 23. In addition, Open Campus accelerator OC-X will deploy a $10 million fund to introduce 100 education startups. OC-X has introduced many companies such as Skizaa, EduCup, Collective, Atiom and Patika.dev into the Open Campus Alliance, with a total of 1.8 million learners.
It is reported that the education certification protocol Open Campus ID can create online profiles as well as educational badges and certificates through DID, allowing learners to control their educational identity, reputation and data. Holding an Open Campus ID will grant users a unique .edu domain name, which will allow users to store learners' profiles and educational data in an autonomous and decentralized manner.
