On February 7, Binance announced an airdrop of $100 worth of BNB to all Binance users determined to be living in the areas most affected by the tragedy, totaling an estimated $5 million (or 94,000,000 Turkish Lira). At the same time, Binance Charity launched a public donation address where anyone can donate. Donations to the Turkey Earthquake Relief Fund will accept BTC, ETH, BNB, BUSD, XRP.
“The recent earthquake in Turkey has had a devastating impact on many people and communities, and we hope that our efforts can bring some comfort to those affected,” said Binance Founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ). “We call on our industry peers to once again come together to provide support in this time of crisis.”
