However, Sassaman's widow, Meredith L. Patterson, has denied these claims. Patterson stated, 'Len Sassaman is not Satoshi Nakamoto. Len Sassaman passed away in 2011. HBO never contacted me during the making of the documentary, which is the strangest thing for me.'
