According to Odaily, the Brazilian Supreme Court has mandated that social media platform X must pay approximately $5.2 million in fines before it can resume operations in the country. The platform, controlled by American billionaire Elon Musk, had previously complied with court orders by appointing a local legal representative and removing inappropriate content. However, Judge Alexandre de Moraes ruled on Friday that X must settle the earlier imposed fine of 18.3 million reais and an additional fine of 10 million reais for allowing some Brazilian users to access the platform during a ban. The total fines amount to around $5.2 million.
