As CoinDesk reported, more than 250 BTC were moved from the Satoshi era in five separate transactions on Friday, with each transaction moving 50 BTC, with a total value of nearly $16 million.

As of press time, these new wallets have not yet transferred funds to cryptocurrency exchanges. The Bitcoins were obtained through mining in 2009, and there has been no activity in these wallets since then, until Friday. Similar Satoshi-era Bitcoin transfers occurred in July and December last year, transferring assets worth $30 million and more than 1,000 BTC, respectively.
