According to BlockBeats, on September 5, New York Attorney General Letitia James joined the regulatory offensive against the cryptocurrency trading platform Uniswap.

Last month, Letitia James’ office sent subpoenas to a number of venture capital firms that had invested in Uniswap, including Andreessen Horowitz and Union Square Ventures, two sources said.

“Letitia James appears to be following in the footsteps of SEC Chairman Gensler in using cryptocurrency as a political punching bag,” said one person who has seen the subpoena, speaking on condition of anonymity.
