According to BlockBeats, on August 21, BadgerDAO announced the launch of a $250,000 grant program supported by Gitcoin. The initiative aims to foster community-driven growth of Bitcoin within the DeFi sector. The primary objectives of the program include supporting projects that enhance the eBTC protocol ecosystem, discovering new ideas and talents that can add value to the DAO, and encouraging innovations that integrate Bitcoin into DeFi.

Applicants are required to focus on at least one of the following areas: improving the utility of BADGER, enhancing Bitcoin integration in DeFi, Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions, rollups or mining innovations, and developing or creating parallel products based on the eBTC protocol.

The application conditions stipulate that proposals must have a clear and achievable roadmap, be open to community feedback, request funding between $1,000 and $100,000, and agree to milestone-based payments. Applicants need to post their proposals on the Badger DAO governance forum, which will then be reviewed by the Treasury Council before being submitted to the Gitcoin Grants Stack team.
