Social media platform X is under scrutiny by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) following reports that a change in default settings allowed users’ X data to be fed into the training of the artificial intelligence chatbot Grok.
Recently, the DPC told TechCrunch: "The DPC has been in contact with X on this matter for several months, and the most recent interaction occurred yesterday. Therefore, we are surprised by the current developments. We have followed up with X today and are awaiting a response, and expect to engage further with it early next week."
