According to Odaily, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and two other major U.S. banking regulatory agencies are seeking more information about the relationships between banks and fintech companies. The FDIC, the Federal Reserve, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency have requested detailed information regarding these arrangements, particularly those related to deposits, payments, and loan products and services. In a joint statement released on Thursday, the regulators expressed their desire for industry and public feedback on the nature and impact of these bank-fintech arrangements, as well as effective risk management practices.
