According to ChainCatcher, Apple has been granted a communications patent based on the latest list published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This patent allows users of nearby Apple devices such as iPhones and AirPods to have voice chats without the help of Wi-Fi or cellular networks.
