According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Japanese subsidiary of Phillip Securities has invested in the film "Hero Island" produced by Sony and plans to issue security tokens to facilitate consumers to invest in the film through digital securities.

The issuance technology is provided by Securitize Japan, whose parent company is backed by BlackRock. The film is scheduled to be released in 2025, but the issuance of small batches of 100,000 yen ($629) tokens will start next week on a permissioned blockchain.

Investors can participate in a share of the film's revenue, including theatrical distribution, video and broadcast sales, value-added bonuses, and may also have the opportunity to participate in additional shots, attend film premieres, receive promotional posters, and even have their names appear in the end credits.
