According to ChainCatcher, Bashir Kazour, managing director of Swiss cryptocurrency company Taurus, said that traditional financial institutions in the UAE, such as banks, are eager to launch digital asset services. This statement was made when Taurus established a new partnership with Zand, the first digital bank in the UAE, to provide digital asset services.
Zand will use Taurus’ custody and tokenization solutions to expand its digital asset offerings, including cryptocurrencies, tokenized securities, and NFTs.
Kazour said: "This partnership with Zand reflects the UAE's progress as a leading digital asset hub. The company is investing further in the UAE to serve our clients with a Swiss and regional approach."
