According to Odaily, Bitcoin developer Burak is in the process of developing a new Bitcoin L2 'Brollup', aimed at increasing its DeFi use cases. Burak explained that Brollup offers a native Bitcoin rollup design, bundling transactions without the need for a hard fork of Bitcoin or the issuance of non-Bitcoin tokens.
Brollup is still in the 'design phase' and a signet, or testnet, may be launched later this year. Burak further added that the goal of Brollup is to support over 90% of DeFi use cases upon its final release.
