According to Bloomberg, Standard Swiss Bank's new cryptocurrency trading unit is about to begin operations and will become part of the bank's foreign exchange trading division. The unit will operate in London. The bank said in an emailed statement: "We have been working closely with regulators to support our institutional clients in trading Bitcoin and Ethereum, which is in line with our strategy of supporting clients in access, custody, tokenization and interoperability in the broader digital asset ecosystem." Standard Swiss Bank declined to comment further. Standard Swiss Bank is one of several large banks that are deeply involved in the cryptocurrency field as institutional adoption of this asset class continues to expand. It has stakes in two cryptocurrency companies, Zodia Custody and Zodia Markets, which provide services from custody to over-the-counter trading.
