According to Odaily Planet Daily, Politico reporter Eleanor Mueller posted on the X platform that an informed source revealed to her that the Democratic leaders of the House of Representatives said today that they would not oppose the encryption bill of the House Republicans. Although Representatives Maxine Waters and David Scott "strongly opposed" the legislation, they did not urge them to vote "against".

The debate and passage of the bill will take place on Wednesday. Waters, Lynch and Casten held a virtual briefing for panel members today. Waters will hold another meeting with SEC officials tomorrow.

Earlier news, all members of the U.S. House of Representatives plan to vote on the FIT21 market structure bill this week, which includes some new provisions, including regulations on when cryptocurrencies should be considered securities. The House of Representatives already has a group of representatives who support cryptocurrencies, and FIT21 is likely to pass the House of Representatives smoothly, but it will face obstacles in the upper house.
