According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Sei Foundation announced on Monday that it has launched a governance proposal to upgrade the Sei blockchain to version 2. The proposed upgrade, which will be implemented by Sei Labs, will introduce a high-performance, parallelized Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) designed to enhance the functionality of the network. If the governance proposal is approved, the network upgrade will take place in a week.
