According to CryptoPotato, Japanese investment and consulting company Metaplanet has incorporated Bitcoin into its long-term financial strategy, making it the company's reserve asset. The company will prioritize a Bitcoin-first, Bitcoin-only strategy, using long-term yen liabilities and periodic share issuance as financial options to continuously purchase more Bitcoin. Metaplanet said that Bitcoin has fundamental superiority over all political currencies, traditional value storage and investment, and all other crypto assets/securities. About a month ago, Metaplanet invested 1 billion yen ($6.5 million) to buy Bitcoin, marking its transition to the leading crypto asset. The company said the move was a response to Japan's economic pressures, a weak yen, long-term negative interest rates, and high government debt levels. Metaplanet's new strategy will increase the number of Bitcoins per share, increasing shareholder value in the long run.
