According to Odaily Planet Daily, Elizabeth Stark, CEO of Lightning Labs, revealed at the London Crypto and Digital Asset Summit that the company's Taproot Assets protocol is developing the ability to introduce stablecoins and tokenized assets into Bitcoin. Stark said that developers have made significant progress toward this goal and have tested transactions on Lightning. She believes that these digital assets have traditionally run on other blockchains but have been plagued by high fees and other problems. Bitcoin's network may be best suited to promote the use of stablecoins because it is the safest and most decentralized blockchain.
