According to Odaily Planet Daily, Nigeria's National Security Advisor (NSA) has labeled cryptocurrency trading as a national security threat and plans to crack down on P2P cryptocurrency trading. Previously, at least three major fintech startups in Nigeria (Moniepoint, Paga and Palmpay) decided to block accounts involved in crypto trading and report such activities to law enforcement. Moniepoint CEO Tosin Eniolorunda said that the NSA's decision is expected to pave the way for new regulations to ban P2P cryptocurrency trading, and officials are expected to announce this news soon.
