According to the official announcement: Binance Labs Fuels Movement Labs' Mission for Secure Ethereum Smart Contract Development

Binance Labs, the venture capital and incubation division of Binance, has invested in Movement Labs for a groundbreaking venture. Movement Labs aims to become the first fully integrated blockchain network, blending the security of Move and parallel execution using a zero-knowledge rollup.

The collaboration brings support to Sui Move, Aptos Move, and the embedded EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) interpreter, MEVM. For both Sui, Aptos, and regular EVM users, Movement Labs paves the way to utilize the Layer -2 scalability solution. This modular approach is a forward step towards parallelized virtual machines, maintaining integration with Ethereum's liquidity, ecosystem toolings, and security. The Move-EVM intersection by Movement lets developers deploy formally verified code in real-time using both Move and Solidity, effectively blocking common attack routes such as reentrancy.

Yi He, Binance Co-Founder and Head of Binance Labs, expressed her enthusiasm for the strategic partnership: “Movement's technology and modular approach fulfills the need for an integrated blockchain network, unlocking greater security and speed potential. As Binance Labs, we always aim to partner with leading innovators shaping the industry, and we eagerly anticipate the growth trajectory of Movement."

Movement Labs' mission is centered around extending Move execution across various networks and environments. The company's approach involves the creation of multiple tools, including the Movement SDK, Movement CLI, Fractal, Hyperlane messaging infrastructure, and the Movement Shared Sequencer. These tools intend to ensure optimal interoperability between all Move-based environments and other networks.

Rushi Manche, Movement Labs' Co-Founder, stated: "Movement Labs was birthed out of a need for enhanced smart contract security and higher throughput crypto use cases. We designed Move to power intensive applications like Facebook on-chain. Our mission involves bringing this innovation to Ethereum using a crypto-native approach. Partnering with Binance Labs takes us a step closer to this mission."
