According to CryptoPotato, Core (CORE) has significantly outperformed Bitcoin and many other major cryptocurrencies this year, with a price increase of 350%. Other digital assets related to the Bitcoin ecosystem, such as Sovryn (SOV) and Ordiswap (ORDS), also reported significant gains, with increases of 210% and 100% respectively. CORE is a new blockchain that takes advantage of Bitcoin’s proof-of-work network and delegated proof-of-stake consensus mechanism to provide more security, scalability and decentralization. Its native token CORE is currently worth approximately US$2.51, an increase of 350% from US$0.55 at the beginning of 2024. SOV is a protocol that runs on a Bitcoin sidechain called Rootstock Smart Contract (RSK), and its native token SOV has gained 210% since the new year and is currently trading at around $2.10. Ordiswap is the first automated market maker (AMM) designed for the Bitcoin blockchain, with the primary purpose of providing liquidity supply and decentralized trading to Bitcoin’s native layer. AMM’s governance cryptocurrency, ORDS, has gained 100% since its launch in late December.
