According to BlockBeats, Mina Protocol, a blockchain based on zero-knowledge proof, announced a partnership with modular blockchain project Celestia on April 23. As part of the collaboration, Mina's ecosystem will integrate Celestia's modular decentralized data availability (DA) solution. The integration project is led by Geometry Research, a pioneer team in zk-SNARKs, and is technically supported by o1Labs.

The introduction of Celestia's DA solution will significantly enhance the capabilities of Mina's zkApps, especially in handling large-scale off-chain data. The throughput of zkApps is expected to improve further. This collaboration coincides with Mina's upcoming mainnet upgrade, which will bring a more user-friendly zkApp programming model. This upgrade is expected to significantly increase developer activity and the number of products in the Mina ecosystem.
