According to PANews, Thai authorities announced last Friday that they have decided to block "unauthorized" cryptocurrency platforms in order to improve the efficiency of law enforcement agencies in solving cybercrime problems. After a meeting of the Technology Crime Prevention and Suppression Committee, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) was ordered to submit information on unauthorized digital asset service providers to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society in order to block these platforms.

The announcement stated that the Thai SEC has taken into account the impact of this move on users and will give them time to manage their accounts before they are unable to use the services; therefore, the SEC requires users of the relevant platforms to withdraw their assets from the platforms as soon as possible.
