According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Arkansas State Assembly has passed two bills that could restrict cryptocurrency mining activities in the state. At a Senate hearing on April 17, lawmakers tried to address issues such as noise reduction, foreign ownership, and the proximity of cryptocurrency mines to residential areas. Two of the eight bills submitted to the House of Representatives on Wednesday passed, but the Senate approved only one bill involving cryptocurrency last week. There is considerable debate about whether Bill 851 should be amended and the level of detail these amendments should include. The relevant committees will discuss the issue and then may pass a law in this fiscal session or the next fiscal session.
