As cryptocurrency-related crimes increase in Hong Kong, well-known data analysis company Bitrace has stepped up its efforts to address the issue, CryptoPotato reported. The company reportedly conducted training courses on on-chain fund tracing for members of the Hong Kong Police Force. This is part of the company's social responsibility efforts to improve law enforcement's understanding of blockchain technology, especially given Hong Kong's growing prominence as a cryptocurrency hub. These training courses were organized specifically for the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) and the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) and involved sharing insights and methods for investigating cryptocurrency-related crimes.

Technical experts also demonstrated how digital asset funds are used and circulated in illegal transactions, money laundering and fraud.
