According to U.Today, the newly launched automated market maker (AMM) engine on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has released a major new update called "fixAMMOverflowOffer". The update was launched on the mainnet after a stress test voting period and reached 100% consensus. The update is designed to fix the improper handling of large synthetic AMM quotes in the payment engine. The XRP Ledger itself is developing at a very fast pace, and this trend has necessitated the launch of related engines to help it match other competing first-layer blockchain networks. However, a major technical failure occurred after the launch of the AMM, which triggered a backlash within the ecosystem. This failure has now necessitated a series of updates to the AMM. With this update, the growing AMM pool on the XRP Ledger can better manage large exchange requests from decentralized exchanges (DEXes) hosted on the XRPL. In addition, Ripple developers are doing their best to allow validators and other key stakeholders to have a good experience on the platform.
