According to Foresight News, at the "2024 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival", NEAR Protocol co-founder Illia Polosukhin said that the combination of Web3 and AI is a solution to the current closed-source language model. He pointed out that most AI models are currently closed-source, and people don't know how the data used for training in the model is generated, which poses some potential risks. People need open source models, but face obstacles such as regulatory agencies' restrictions on data protection and access, and insufficient financial incentives after open source. He believes that AI language models need to connect directly with users, use cryptography and on-chain reputation to solve these problems, and build competitive models in Web3.
