Former McKinsey & Company head of digital assets Ian De Bode has joined real-world assets startup Ondo Finance as chief strategy officer, Blockworks reports. Ondo founder and CEO Nathan Allman is a former member of Goldman Sachs’ digital assets team. Ondo recently hired Goldman Sachs’ former head of digital asset compliance as chief risk and compliance officer. Its vice president of partnerships, Kate Wheeler, was a former vice president at BlackRock. Ondo focuses on the tokenization of real-world assets. For example, its USDY stablecoin pays out earnings guaranteed by U.S. Treasuries. Ondo also invested $95 million in BlackRock’s on-chain money market fund BUIDL, backing its OUSG U.S. Treasury token.
