According to Wu, asset management company Franklin Templeton has invested an undisclosed amount in Singapore-based crypto news company Blockhead, and the funds will be used to support the launch of Blockhead's new research platform BRN and other initiatives. Blockhead was founded in 2022 and covers the blockchain and digital asset industries, especially in Asia. Kevin Farrelly, director of digital asset management at Franklin Templeton, said the investment is part of cultivating a global ecosystem of digital asset operators. Recently, Franklin Templeton also invested in Singapore-regulated startup Zerently AI, which launched a fund focused on Chinese A-shares and listed companies in mainland China.
