In a swift response to community concerns, Binance has taken proactive steps to address concerns regarding the potential leakage of currency listing information. Co-founder Yi He announced these significant measures in response to recent discussions within the community surrounding the RONIN listing.
1. Strengthening Internal Processes
Binance will reinforce its internal processes related to currency listings. This includes engaging business and research teams across Pre IC, IC, development, operations, and announcements. Team members involved in the currency listing process will undergo stricter internal management. Any instance of information leakage within projects will result in immediate warnings, with termination following the second offense.
2. Enhanced External Partner Guidelines
External partners of Binance will witness stricter guidelines, particularly in their communication involving project research information, token models, token custody management, and interactions with project investors. The process for project currency listing information will be further refined. In case of any information leaks, the listing will be canceled. For leaks occurring after announcements, the pending listing will be extended, and the final listing decision will be contingent on subsequent adjustments.
3. Improved Technical Monitoring
Binance is committed to enhancing its technical monitoring capabilities. The exchange acknowledges the possibility that trading pairs and announcements might be subject to monitoring by scripts. While the content remains encrypted, actions associated with it will be monitored. This heightened vigilance aims to maintain the stability of the Binance ecosystem. Users are encouraged to contact Yi He via Telegram (@heyibinance) with any relevant information.
4. Increased Transparency
To bolster transparency, Binance has decided to disclose its contact information, which was previously undisclosed due to the separation of currency listing research and business. Users can now access the application link for currency listings: https://binance.com/en/my/coin-apply. Additionally, official business Telegram contact information is available at @BResearchBD.
5. Incentivizing Reports and Rewards
Binance is offering substantial rewards for reports related to currency listing and other forms of corruption. To encourage reporting, the identities of those who report corrupt Binance team members will be kept confidential. Rewards for such reports range from $10,000 to $5 million. Submissions can be made to audit@binance.com.
6. Blacklisting Corrupt Employees
Corrupt employees who are verified as such and subsequently join other projects or funds will find those projects and funds permanently blacklisted by Binance. Major funds are encouraged to conduct background checks on prospective employees before extending offers. Inquiries regarding background checks can be directed to hr@binance.com.
