According to CoinDesk, two cryptocurrency provisions in the U.S. National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) targeting anti-money laundering issues have been canceled. This means that the United States will not pass digital asset rules through this legislative channel this year. According to a joint bill released by members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate on Thursday, the provisions that originally required the establishment of anti-money laundering inspection standards for crypto assets and required the submission of a report on the use of privacy coins or other cryptocurrencies' "enhanced anonymity technology" have been canceled. The House version of the NDAA does not include these provisions of the Senate version.
