According to the Daily Planet, the distributed peer-to-peer cloud computing market Akash Network has implemented the Mainnet 6 upgrade, and users can now access GPU chips on its decentralized computing market. Akash's Upgrade 6 is called "Supercloud" by the team and aims to provide a decentralized method of utilizing GPU resources to provide an alternative to centralized cloud service providers. Although GPUs were mainly used for mining on Ethereum in the cryptocurrency field before turning to proof of stake, their main application is in processing high-performance computing.

After the Mainnet 6 launch, the GPUs available will include models such as Nvidia H100s and A100s, as well as consumer-grade chips capable of handling compute-intensive workloads for training artificial intelligence and data science models.
