As reported by CryptoPotato, Pantera Capital recently predicted that Bitcoin will reach new highs after the expected halving in 2024. In the Blockchain Letter published on August 22, the cryptocurrency hedge fund reiterated its optimistic predictions for Bitcoin prices. Pantera said that the first halving reduced the supply of new BTC by 17% of the total Bitcoin, noting that the event had a huge impact on new supply and price. Similarly, the 2020 halving reduced the supply of new Bitcoin by 43% relative to the previous halving. Pantera said: "The next halving is expected to occur on April 20, 2024. If history repeats itself, the next halving will cause Bitcoin to rise to $35,000 before the halving and $148,000 after the halving." Pantera said that Bitcoin historically bottomed out 477 days before the halving, followed by a price increase. Calculated from the halving in April 2024, Bitcoin is expected to reach its next historical peak around July 2025.
