Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives have formed an artificial intelligence working group to develop new legislation around emerging technology areas, according to Cointelegraph. The artificial intelligence working group, composed of 97 members of the New Democratic Coalition, was announced on August 15, stating that it will work with U.S. President Joe Biden's administration, stakeholders, and lawmakers from both sides of the political stage to develop "reasonable, bipartisan policies to deal with this emerging technology." The working group will focus on a range of issues, including how to best use artificial intelligence for growth while ensuring that workers who lose their jobs due to artificial intelligence can still maintain their jobs.
