Crypto giants are rallying at the inaugural Crypto Ball, energized by President-elect Trump’s pro-crypto agenda and plans to position the U.S. as a blockchain leader.
Crypto Ball: How Blockchain Giants Are Backing America’s Innovation Push
The Inaugural Crypto Ball, set for Jan. 17, at Washington D.C.’s Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, will celebrate American innovation alongside the inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance. Tickets for the event are in high demand, with Gold tickets, originally priced at $2,500 each, already sold out at the time of writing. Only the $5,000 Black tickets remain available.
Hosted by BTC Inc. and co-hosted by Stand With Crypto, Exodus, Anchorage Digital, and Kraken, the black-tie event runs from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as part of the celebration of the 60th Presidential Inauguration and the new administration’s leadership. Sponsorship for the event comes from industry heavyweights, including Coinbase, Sui, Mysten Labs, Metamask, Galaxy, Ondo, Solana, Metaplanet, MARA, Satoshi Action Fund, Microstrategy, Nano, DSA, Etoro, Uniswap Labs, Nexo, and Robinhood Crypto.
The event aligns with President-elect Trump’s pro-crypto stance, which has generated optimism within the blockchain industry. Trump has reinforced his support for cryptocurrencies by appointing crypto-friendly officials, including David Sacks as the AI and Crypto Czar, Scott Bessent as Treasury Secretary, and Paul S. Atkins as Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). These appointments are expected to encourage innovation-friendly regulations.
With the departure of SEC Chair Gary Gensler, who was often criticized for stringent enforcement actions, the industry anticipates a shift toward more constructive engagement. Trump has also proposed initiatives such as a bitcoin national reserve and aims to position the U.S. as the crypto capital of the world, further solidifying his administration’s focus on fostering blockchain growth. These policies could provide a stable regulatory environment, encouraging both innovation and institutional adoption.
During the inaugural Crypto Ball, a VIP reception will also be hosted by Trump super PAC MAGA Inc. with David Sacks, according to Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett. Former President Donald Trump is not expected to attend. Tickets for the reception are priced at $100,000 each, or a $1 million package includes four tickets and a single ticket to a future dinner with Trump.
