The Russian government has confiscated $10 million worth of Bitcoin from a former law enforcement officer. Russian court enforcement officers have begun to seize Bitcoin from a former employee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in a large-scale bribery case related to cryptocurrency. Law enforcement has started to confiscate approximately 103 Bitcoins - these Bitcoins belong to former ICRF employee Marat Tambiev, who was convicted in 2023 for cryptocurrency bribery. The confiscated Bitcoins will be incorporated into Russia's national revenue as part of the legal process.
